Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Fino mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Fino ("we", "our", or "us"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time as described in the Modifications section below.

2. Description of Service

Fino is a personal finance tracking application designed to help you manage your money through budgeting, expense tracking, subscription management, and financial insights. Key features include:

• Transaction Tracking: Manually record income and expenses or automatically detect them via bank notification access.
• Budget Management: Set and monitor spending limits across custom categories.
• Subscription Tracker: Track recurring payments and subscription renewal dates.
• Financial Reports: Generate PDF and CSV reports of your financial data.
• AI Insights: Receive AI-powered spending analysis and recommendations.
• Bill Reminders: Get notified about upcoming bill due dates.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

Fino may be used without creating an account. All data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to use optional cloud features, you may sign in using Google Sign-In.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and any associated accounts
• All activity that occurs on your device through the App
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Account Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Since data is stored locally, uninstalling the App will remove all your data from the device.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to transmit any malicious software or harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Use automated tools to access the App in ways that exceed normal use
• Modify, adapt, or hack the App to change its intended functionality
• Use the App to impersonate any person or entity
• Export or transfer data in violation of any applicable export laws

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these acceptable use terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding user-provided data), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Fino and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the domestic country and international treaties.

• The Fino name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names are trademarks of Fino.
• You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
• All user-provided financial data remains the property of the user.

6. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is critically important to us. Our data practices are fully described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Key commitments:

• Local-First: All financial data is stored locally on your device using AES-256 encryption.
• No Cloud Storage: We do not upload, sync, or share your financial data with external servers.
• User Control: You have full control over your data, including the right to export and delete it at any time.
• Optional Features: Features like notification access and anonymous data sharing are opt-in and can be disabled at any time.

7. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will function uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from the use of the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FINO, ITS DEVELOPERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein
• Damages resulting from any interruption or cessation of the App's functionality
• Damages resulting from any bugs, viruses, or similar harmful code transmitted through the App
• Errors or mistakes in the App's calculations, reports, or outputs

This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Fino operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
